A laser produces a beam of highly concentrated light. The light emitted is well absorbed by the pigment located in hair follicles. The laser pulses for a fraction of a second, just long enough to vaporize the pigment, disabling numerous follicles at a time to eliminate or significantly impede the hair’s growth.
A minimum of 6 treatments are recommended for optimal results.
IPL or “Photofacial” is a series of intense pulsed light treatments that dramatically erase: Freckles, Age spots, Sun damage, Redness, flushing and Rosacea, Irregular pigmentation, Wrinkles around the eyes, lips, and forehead. You can have full face, neck, chest and even hand treatments. IPL is quick, safe, and effective with minimal downtime. You can resume normal activities immediately.
For optimal results, a series of 3-5 treatments are recommended. Follow-up treatments may be desired once a year to maintain results.
The non-ablative laser uses a wavelength that does not cause the water in the tissue to evaporate (ablate) but rather the laser energy heats the tissue in a controlled manner. The rise in temperature stimulates neocollagenesis, a process in which new collagen is produced by the body. Collagen is a fibrous protein that is responsible for giving the skin its elasticity and suppleness. By producing new collagen the skin regains is youthful appearance. Since the treatment does not involve tissue evaporation or ablation, treatment downtime is significantly reduced, which is also why it is preferred over ablative treatments by many patients.
There is very little down time, approximately 12-24hrs. Redness and swelling may occur but will go away within 24 hours.
A Photo-fractional treatment is a combination of IPL and ResurFx. It targets browns and red as well as fine lines, wrinkles and collagen and elastin production. This is the ultimate treatment for anti-again.
When a Laser is used to treat spider veins, it penetrates the skin and the superficial blood vessel, or spider vein. The heat generated by the Yag Laser coagulates the blood inside the spider vein causing it to collapse and seal.
3-5 treatments may be necessary for optimal results. consultation is required.
